The workspace for reviewing construction contracts

Understand a construction contract before you sign it, and keep track of what it asks of you after, for subcontractors and main contractors

The Contract review workspace launches with Workspaces, Quantsurv’s software for quantity surveying and claims. We will email you once, when it opens.

Bob in Contract review

Bob is an AI agent, not a person. In Contract review he helps you understand a construction contract before you rely on it.

He reads your contract, sets out what it says and where it departs from the standard form, and lists every date it sets

Contract review is for you if

  • You are a subcontractor or main contractor
  • You have a construction contract to sign, or one already signed, for work in England and Wales
  • You want to know what it says before you rely on it

Control and security

You decide what to rely on

How you stay in control of Bob, and how he treats your documents and data
Your decision

Bob sets out what the contract says. You decide whether to sign, and what to ask for.

Nothing sent

Bob sends nothing to anyone

Every point traced

Each point Bob makes links to the clause and page it comes from. Where the contract is unclear, he says so rather than guessing.

Notices and time bars

Bob shows each notice period and time bar with the clause it comes from, and you confirm the dates

How Bob uses AI

Bob’s AI reads your contract and drafts each part of the review for you to check. A quote he gives is checked against your document before you see it.

Your data and record

Your contracts are private to your account and to Quantsurv, and Bob’s AI provider, Anthropic, may process your documents outside the UK. Every upload, change and decision is kept with its date and who made it. Bob’s section of our privacy notice will be published before sign-up opens. Privacy notice

What Bob does not do

  • Say how a court or adjudicator will read a term
  • Represent you in a dispute

Questions about Contract review

Where are my documents kept?

In private storage for your account. Each file is checked against its original fingerprint every time you download it.

Which contracts does Bob read?

JCT, NEC and FIDIC forms, your own terms and letters of intent. Bob reads the clauses in your own contract, so its amendments count.

Does Bob tell me whether to sign?

No. He sets out what the contract says and what to ask about.

Who decides

Can a Quantsurv QS review it with me?

Yes. Subcontract review before signing has a Quantsurv QS go through the terms with you, for a fee agreed first.

Subcontract review before signing

How is Contract review different from Claims?

Contract review reads the contract. Claims helps you build a claim under it.
