What Bob does

He reads and proposes; you check and decide

  • Keeps the claim in context

Reading covers the claim’s sources and conversation, with complete originals retained and unread or failed items shown before an answer

  • Finds gaps

His review identifies missing links, contradictions and supporting records, with findings kept on the claim

  • Says what to get, and from whom

An information request says what record would help, why it matters and who is likely to hold it

  • Re-checks new evidence

When the missing record arrives, the review can mark the point established with a checked page citation

  • Examines possible defences

He sets out possible counterarguments and the evidence that would help test them

  • Checks quoted sources

Quoted citations are checked against the source page. You still need to check Bob’s reasoning and conclusions.

  • What he does not do

His rules require no legal advice, never predicting an outcome and sending nothing to other parties. He cannot overwrite or remove your original records.

Example: the missing weekend records

A loss and expense claim says ten operatives were unable to work on 14 and 15 March because access was withheld

  1. The allocation sheets name six operatives for the weekend and there is no site diary for either day
  2. Bob flags the missing causal link and conflicting operative count
  3. An information request asks for the site diaries and labour deployment records from the client’s site manager, explaining why they matter
  4. The consultant obtains the diaries and uploads them to the claim

The new diaries record ten operatives unable to work because access was withheld. Bob’s next review cites the pages and marks that link established; the information request stays open until the person closes it.
